Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula focuses on five core programming areas: Education & Career, Character & Leadership Development, Health & Life Skills, Sports, Recreation &  Fitness, and the Arts. Some of the key programs include: Positive Action, Power Hour, SMART Girls, Eat Smart and Passport to Manhood.
 
General Information:
 
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula serves over 6,000 youth annually, ages 6-18. There are 13 Boys and Girls Clubs located in Newport News, Hampton, York, Gloucester and Mathews County

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula started as the Boys Club of Newport News in 1946 serving approximately 250 boys.  Since then, our footprint has grown to 13 Clubs that stretch across three cities, three counties and we serve more than 6,000 youth annually!
