What We Do
PAA provides a variety of services to older adults, which include, but are not limited to:
Transportation - Transportation is provided to day care centers, non-emergency medical appointments, and other activities sponsored by PAA for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Nutrition Services – Through our Home Delivered Meals program, dedicated volunteers deliver hot lunches to individuals 60 and over who are home-bound due to illness or disability and are unable to prepare nutritious meals. Meals are delivered Monday - Friday. Additionally, our Congregate Dining Centers offer a place for socialization as well as nutrition!
Caring Neighbors - helps older adults and persons with disabilities remain independent in their own homes by having volunteers help their neighbors through friendly visits, transportation to recreational outings or errands, making safety check-in calls. Want to help your neighbors? You can make a world of difference in older adults live in only a few hours per month. Volunteer drivers provide only 1 or 2 rides per month to a nearby destination. Don’t want to drive? Visit a homebound older adult once or twice a month. Have a fun, friendly chat, play a game or listen to music with an older adult who lives near you.
Care Coordination - By serving as a clearing house of resources, PAA coordinates care services with public agencies and private providers with the goal to improve the quality of life. PAA helps to develop a personalized plan from your hospital transitions to your daily home life. Our care coordinators will work with the client and caregivers to access and coordinate any services or information needed to maintain a more independent life and receive additional support.
Caregiver Support - Caregivers information regarding community resources available to assist them in the role of caregivers.
