Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of the Virginia Peninsula

RSVP cultivates close working relationships with hosting organizations to define volunteer jobs and promote effective volunteer management.   RSVP places volunteers in vital capacities, which help to strengthen the local communities, while utilizing the wisdom and skills of the senior volunteer.   The personal attention given to the volunteer placements ensures a successful volunteer experience.

Volunteers are supported through placement, mileage reimbursement, insurance, newsletters and educational events.

RSVP-VP enhances the health and wellness of people 55 and older through volunteering. RSVP-VP is a private, non profit  501 (c) (3) organization established in 1972.

RSVP volunteers are serving in over 81 different organizations throughout the Virginia Peninsula. The agency serves the Virginia Peninsula communities of: Newport News, Hampton, York County, Poquoson, James City County and Williamsburg.
