Who We Are

In support of that mission, the organization provides programs and services in four areas:

Adult and Senior Care: including In-Home Respite Care; Community Assistance and Resources for Seniors; Guardianship; Conservator; Power of Attorney; Life Coach Case Management, and Representative Payee.

Youth and Family: including Kinship Care; Adoption; Temporary Foster Care; Pregnancy Counseling; and Educational Classes (Cooperative Parenting, Alcohol 101, Anger Management, Domestic Violence Intervention Program, and Fatherhood Initiative).

Financial and Housing Counseling: including Home Purchase counseling; Mortgage Default Counseling; Debt Management; Credit counseling; Financial/Budget Counseling; and Educational Classes on Personal Finance & Money management, Improving credit, and First Time Homeownership Education.

Clinical Counseling: including Individual for children or adults, Couple, and Family Counseling; Depression screenings; School Assistance Program; and Support groups for Military Spouses, Body Image, and Back to Work job search training.

What We Do

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, Inc. (CCEVA) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit agency that has provided human services to the community since 1932.  The agency assists people of all faiths in all stages of life; in fact, 80% of the people helped are not Catholic.  CCEVA’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all people in need by providing professional, compassionate services through intervention, prevention, education and advocacy. We serve people of every race, creed, ethnicity and religion, regardless of ability to pay.  The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and serves South Hampton Roads, the Virginia Peninsula, Williamsburg, Franklin and Virginia’s Eastern Shore.  CCEVA is accredited by the Council on Accreditation.
