Who We Are

Children who have been abused and neglected are generally age 11 and under, too young to defend themselves. They need a champion, a voice, in order to survive and break free of their dire situation.

Colonial CASA, a recognized, respected and passionate voice for abused and neglected children, recruit, train and support community volunteer appointed by the court to advocate for all abused and neglected children so they can live in safe, loving and stable homes where they are afforded an opportunity to thrive.

What We Do

National CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a non-profit organization with over 900 chapters. Colonial CASA, a member of National CASA,  serves James City County, Williamsburg, Poquoson, and York County.  We ensure that the abused and neglected children in our community do not get lost in the legal system.  The CASA volunteer provides a voice for the child in court and provides information to assist the Judge in making a decision regarding a safe and permanent placement for the child.
