Trevor Claar is an 18 year-old from Newport News, VA who went to the Outer Banks with his friends in June of this year to celebrate Beach Week and his graduation from High School. On the last day there, Trevor dove into a crashing wave and hit an unknown sandbar headfirst. After being airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the prognosis was grim. His C4 and C6 cervical vertebrae were fractured and the C5 was shattered. He is now a quadriplegic.
Harpoon Larry's together with To Cook Again Foundation 501 (C) (3) Bob Bayton, family & friends are hosting an Oyster Roast to be held on Saturday, November 5th at Styron Square in Port Warwick, Newport News to assist with the medical bills and to help prepare the family home for Trevor's return from the Shepherd Center in Atlanta.
