Alternatives, Inc. is seeking young adults (age 18-29) to co-lead a dating violence prevention curriculum with 9th grade high school students in Hampton, VA. RELATE (Relationship Education Leading Adolescents Towards Empowerment) is a 4 session interactive program that teaches youth about healthy relationships and how to avoid dating violence. No experience necessary-training will be provided, and volunteers work in teams to lead the program. All classes are run during the school day (7:30am-3:00pm) and scheduling of volunteers is flexible. Classes begin January 6th, and volunteers must attend mandatory training sessions (see below)
