Alternatives, inc is seeking dedicated, service minded individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of young people in Hampton and Newport News. As a PASS AmeriCorps member (Peninsula AmeriCorps Service and Support), you will work as part of a team to lead programs, teach skills, and build relationships with kids ages 5-12, or with middle and high school youth ages 13-18. In exchange for their service, AmeriCorps members receive:
- Valuable training and career experience
- A living allowance, mileage reimbursement, and an educational award that can be applied to tuition or college loans.
- Relationships that last a lifetime
AmeriCorps members may choose between serving 300 or 450 hours over the summer (May 22-August 18)-generally 6-8 hours per day. Interviews will take place April 10, May 12, or May 15, 11am. Call Charles at 757-838-2330 to schedule an interview.
