Do you enjoy talking with people, either on the phone or in person? The Caring Neighbors Program needs you!
As a Caring Neighbors Volunteer, you can make friendly visits or check-in phone calls to older adults and adults with disabilities. You'll make new friends, and help reduce social isolation and loneliness for the people you meet.
Friendly visits are usually made during business hours, Monday - Friday. Safety check-in calls can be made any time that is mutually agreeable to the volunteer and client.
Volunteers can commit to as little as 1-2 hours per month, or more as you are available! Must be 18 years old and pass a background check. Clients are located in Newport News and Hampton.
