Get ready for one of the biggest days of giving and volunteering on the Virginia Peninsula! Day of Caring is our community’s largest day of the year for volunteering and serves as the official kickoff to United Way of the Virginia Peninsula’s annual giving campaign.
Each year, hundreds of volunteers and local businesses come together across the Peninsula to roll up their sleeves, lend a helping hand, and make a meaningful difference for our neighbors in need.
From landscaping and painting to organizing, building, beautifying, and everything in between, volunteers will work alongside local nonprofits and human service organizations at project sites throughout the Peninsula.
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION IS LIVE!
August 10th – August 31st
Grab your team, gather your coworkers, friends, family, or fellow community members, and sign up to make a difference!
REGISTER BY AUGUST 31 & GET THE SHIRT!
All volunteers and volunteer teams who register between August 10th–31st will receive an official Day of Caring T-shirt!
You can still join us after August 31, but T-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrations. We encourage you to register early so you can secure your spot and your shirt!

Your Day of Caring experience doesn’t have to end when your project does! Join us for our Community Kick-Off event after your Day of Caring project on Friday, September 18th, and keep the celebration going with fellow volunteers and community members.
