If you enjoy cleaning projects, strategic packing, organizing, labeling and medium lifting, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
The Refugee Resettlement Agency needs help with downsizing two storage units into one. Storage units contain items for refugee families and events such as bicycles, furniture, files, school supplies and other household items.
The day will consist of physically moving items out of one storage unit into another unit right next to it. Drivers will also be needed to drive old, damaged or unwanted items to a dumpster or donation facility. We will also need to analyze the storage unit we are keeping, to better organize and free up space.
We need a good mixture of volunteers- those who like to go through boxes, sort, clean and organize, and those who don't mind lifting, moving and using some muscle! Those with trucks or large cargo vans is a bonus but not necessary. Please wear athletic clothes that could get dirty.
