Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Peninsula

Volunteers work with infants and toddlers in one of CDR’s two child-care centers. As a child-care center volunteer, you will spend your time reading to children, rocking babies, helping with classroom and outdoor activities, and so much more.

Front Desk Receptionist:  Volunteers needed to answer the phone, greet children, families, and visitors in our Norge facility and help keep our organization running smoothly. 

Volunteers help CDR raise funds through special events to support its work with children and families. Volunteers are absolutely vital to CDR’s success!  Contact development@cdr.org if you’d like to help out with any fundraising events, including:

• The annual CDR Garden Party in May

• The annual CDR SuperHero 5K in August

• The annual CDR Oyster Roast in October

Volunteers spend time playing with children ranging in age from infants to preschoolers during morning playgroup sessions at CDR’s Norge facility.

KIDS' Night program is designed to give parents of children with special needs and their siblings a night of qualified childcare and a night of fun for the participants. In order for KIDS’ Night to be successful we rely on an army of generous volunteers and we are excited about your interest in volunteering for KIDS’ Night!

KIDS' Night’s are held one Saturday night a month from 4:30-9:30pm at the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex (WISC) for children ages 1-16.  Volunteers escort a group of children through the various activities at the WISC to include the Turf, FunZone, Playground and Big Gym.

Your job as the volunteer? TO PLAY

We are looking for a volunteer(s) who know their way around a tool kit and can do general maintenance!  Whether it's fixing a broken door, leaky faucet or putting together a desk and chairs, we would appreciate having you on our team.
