With the increase in food assistance orders this summer we have gone through our supply much quicker than anticipated and need to replenish! We are accepting all non-perishable food items as well as meats, hygiene items, and diapers/baby wipes. We are depending on your generosity so that we can continue to help those families most in need. Help us in our mission to do the Most Good for our community! Thank You! Donations can be dropped off at our location: 216 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, in the front office. The event happens every third Thursday of the month and takes place between from 2pm to 4:00pm. We do ask volunteers to arrive around 1pm for set up and volunteer group meeting. We also need individuals who can lift up to 50 pounds. Duties include packing food items, lifting food boxes into people's vehicles, and registering people for the food. The Salvation Army of Williamsburg is open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and we have volunteer applications available if you would like to drop by!
