A&T Transportation Services LLC

A&T Transportation Services was formed to fulfill the growing need of our rapidly aging community, the existing population with disabilities, and the various transportation needs of our local hospitals, dialysis centers, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living facilities.

A&T Transportation Services operates as an independent business formed as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) based in Hampton, Virginia. The founders, are husband and wife, Tom and Alicia Moore. Tom retired after 20 years as an officer in the United States Army. He credits his Army career with teaching him values that form the foundation of a culture of teamwork, excellence, and respect, which, in turn, contributes to the “Yes, We Can” attitude A&T Transportation Services takes with its clients.

Alicia is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) that has served in a variety of healthcare roles since 2006. She has in-depth experience in assisted senior living, nursing homes, hospice care, and assisting people with developmental disabilities. She understands there is no “one size fits all” in healthcare and that every person in need is different and will require different levels of support or accommodation.

Alicia’s motivation for launching a responsive and professional transportation service emerged through personal experience while caring for her ailing mother. Alicia’s mother conducted long-term treatments at dialysis centers and often depended on non-emergency medical transportation providers to get her back and forth. While a few providers were very caring and professional, far too many were unreliable, constantly late, didn’t show up at all, and always full of excuses. She made it her mission to do better for our seniors.

Alicia is driven by the bonds she builds with her clients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment she holds in giving them companionship and keeping them healthy and well.
