Who We Are

We're your neighbor TICN! We support a trauma-aware, resilient and compassionate community. We leverage the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma to build relationships, convene regularly, and advance a common agenda around resilience.

What We Do

TICNs share common characteristics: We spread awareness; we conduct trainings; we support and implement new practices in schools, courts, health and social service departments; most importantly, we honor the trauma-informed principles of 1. Safety 2. Trust & Transparency 3. Peer Support 4. Collaboration & Mutuality 5. Empowerment, Voice & Choice 6. Valuing Cultural, Historic & Gender Issues. We help connect people and agencies across disciplines and encourage them to identify gaps in their policies and practices to implement trauma-informed care.
