Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas provides opportunity for youth to have a better future. Youth Build-YouthBuild offers essential job training and educational opportunities to at-risk youth between the ages of 16 and 24. Our program is founded on five fundamental components: education, construction, leadership development, counseling/case management, and graduate success /post-program placement. Youth Build Peacekeepers is designed to help to reduce gun violence by education and support to justice-involved youth. Through this program, youth will have the opportunity to grow their knowledge of gun violence, effective peer to peer engagement, healthy decision-making, and impact violence can have on others. Youth ages 10-18. Second Chances Second Chances is designed to assist justice-involved youth (males and females) return from the juvenile justice system and successfully transition home. The program offers a variety of support services that lead to economic and social stability and healthy lifestyles
