Virginia Peninsula Regional -- Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VPR VOAD)
-
Disaster Response
VPR-VOAD is designed to bring together voluntary religious and civic organizations which function in times of natural or man-made emergencies on the Virginia Peninsula in order to foster more effective response for people affected by disaster.
VPR-VOAD connects faith-based and non-profit agencies that respond during disasters and emergencies with the Department of Emergency Management, the EOC and FEMA in order to better coordinate response and recovery during an event. This coordination allows agencies to better communicate as well as manage assets and resources.
Virginia Peninsula Regional - Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VPR-VOAD) represents a group of voluntary and non-governmental agencies that collaborate during their responses to disaster.
