Who We Are

Peninsula Non-Profits United actively exercises its advocacy role on behalf of the people being served by United Way Service Providers as well as the United Way Service Providers.


Objectives:

1. to educate on and assist partners with effective ways to advocate

2. to serve as a vehicle through which partners receive and give information about issues which need advocacy

3. to rally partners to advocate on specific issues

4. To stay abreast of local and state hearings, meetings and the like concerning issues which affect the people served by partner agencies or affect partner agencies.

What We Do

The Mission of Peninsula Non-Profits United is...

1. to be a collective, proactive, informed advocacy voice which can make a difference on a public or societal level
2. to be a vehicle which can translate problems into solutions by advocating for changes in laws, regulations and public programs
3. to gain greater visibility and recognition for the organizations and the populations that we serve by educating local, state and federal officials
