All youth have the ability to do BIG things. That is why Big Brothers Big Sisters Services, Inc. (BBBS) creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. With a vision that all children achieve their full potential, BBBS ignites the potential within each and every child and advocates for them to explore the endless possibilities of what they can accomplish.

Enrolled youth (Littles) are matched with a volunteer mentor (Bigs) who commit to meet consistently as a match for a minimum of one year. When youth have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors, have more positive social relationships, and have an increased focus on academics. Being matched with a Big can help Littles navigate challenges, reach their potential, and leave a positive impact on their community.

• Community-Based Mentoring: One-to-one mentoring during out-of-school time to allow youth to ignite and harness their own potential by building a positive relationship with an adult and engaging with the world around them. Bigs and Littles spend 9-12 hours per month together, clearing the path to the child’s biggest possible future.
