United Way of the Virginia Peninsula

United Way is a nonprofit, 501(c)3, organization that identifies and helps solve critical needs and issues in our community by bringing together people and resources.
United Way of the Virginia Peninsula (UWVP) proudly serves Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, York County, James City County, Williamsburg, Gloucester, and Mathews.
With more than 75 years of caring for the community under our belts, many people still think of United Way as a fundraising organization. That’s just part of what we do. We have learned that the best way to help the most people is to focus on the root causes of critical issues that affect those that live and work in our community.
United Way collaborates with people from every sector of our community--business, government, faith groups, other non-profits, and individuals to help solve the critical issues by developing resources and investing in the programs and services addressing those issues.
Together we WILL make a difference! It takes the whole community to make this work. Great things happen when we all come together to find solutions to critical problems.
