On Friday, September 11th, 2015, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula and TowneBank will host Bright Lights, Bright Futures, the Grand Opening event for the TowneBank Athletic Park located across from the Pinedale Manor Boys & Girls Club. This 1.5 million dollar multi-sport facility was developed for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula in partnership with Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation to engage and develop youth through sports, ultimately changing the cycle of violence in our community.
Bright Lights, Bright Futures will be a Field Day Carnival with activities such as bounce houses, ring toss, a Punt-Pass-Kick competition, dunk tank, and more! There will also be an Alumni v. Club Member Mushball game, a Boys & Girls Clubs tradition. This event is a "fun"raiser, not a fundraiser, as our goals for this event are to provide a free, family-friendly event to raise awareness for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula and educate the community about the opportunities provided to every youth member of the Peninsula at BGCVP.Bright Lights, Bright Futures is a free event open to the public!!
