Red Cross Sound the Alarm

This fall, in our effort to reduce death and injury from home fires across the country, the Red Cross will Sound the Alarm through a series of home fire safety and smoke alarm installation events in more than 100 high-risk communities in the United States. From September 23 to October 15, volunteers and partners will install 100,000 free smoke alarms across the country, culminating in the installation of our one-millionth smoke alarm.In Coastal Virginia, events include Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth and Newport News Saturday, October 7,2017.
