Alzheimer's Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter

Who We Are

We provide education and information to the public regarding Alzheimer's and other dementias, through health fairs, speaking engagements, education programs, and public events. We also maintain a library of materials that can be borrowed, and we provide literature to interested individuals and groups.

We provide assistance and support for individuals with dementia and their families through care consultations, support groups, and our 24 hour helpline.

We support Alzheimer's research through our fundraising events. The Alzheimer's Association is the largest, private non-profit funder of Alzheimer's research. Our Walk to End Alzheimer's (held in six locations across southeastern Virginia) is our largest awareness-raising and fund-raising event of the year.

What We Do

Our mission To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision A world without Alzheimer's disease.
